Margaret Bryant is the daughter of Betty Hood and family to Bessy Cameron (Flowers) (c.1849-1895). Betty was born 2 July 1947 in East Gippsland, Victoria, to parents Margaret Bryant and William Johnson Lewis Hood. Margaret Bryant was the third eldest daughter of Keith and Esther Bryant (née Marks). Betty grew up at the Lake Tyers Aboriginal Mission. She passed away on 16 January 2017 at 69 years of age. She was buried at the Bruthen Cemetery on the great Alpine Road in East Gippsland.
