Lola has a lot to say. As a young woman of colour, she uses writing to ponder the intersectionality of experience and the impact of external forces on our internal landscapes. Over the past several years, Lola has kept a weekly blog to share her poetry with a wider audience, and her work as a playwright has been performed in Sydney to general acclaim. She has been an avid participant in the City of Casey’s creative writing initiatives from a young age, and is thrilled to be able to share her poetry at the Emerging Writers’ Festival.
