Mek Yimam is a writer, poet, editor and student of professional writing and editing at RMIT. She is currently working on a magical realism manuscript and a series of adjacent but standalone comics that explore identity, migration, intergenerational trauma, and the wonders in the everyday. Her work has been published in The Big Issue.
